Totally off topic today -- I am learning how to use my new iRobt Roomba vacuum cleaner. The robot function is amazing. I can't say the cats don't mind ... but they do learn to get up in the stairs or a chair while is working. Here is a video I found at Youtube:
I am not sure why this video is titled "Evil Roomba". It sounds like the opinion of a cat.

I used a robot vacuum once in a crematory. Some of its contents were, undoubtedly, human ashes. Can't quite shake the thought.
We gave that to my fastidious brother-in-law a few Christmases back. He loves it.
These work great on hardwood floors. Shag carpets and fringe would be lethal to them.
